Amiga 1200 modding

Here are some photos of the custom case made for my Amiga 1200:

Front panel of the Amiga, with its on/off button and hard reset, its slim CD drive, its Gotek, and of course, its Compact Flash card.

Rear view, with the top right slot for powering the pico-PSU. You can also see the slot for PCMCIA cards (WiFi in this case).

Addition of a DIN port for my external keyboard (I believe it's from an A2000).

Addition of a PS/2 port for my mouse, as I'm no longer a big fan of the TANK mice that get dirty... and also a switch between the PS/2 port and SUB D9 to alternate between joystick and mouse.

View of the interior (well, partially). You can see the PICO-PSU and part of the Blizzard 1260...

"It's not very pretty, but it's functional :) I also redirected the activity LED of the CF to the LED on the reset button.

"Hard reset", since Ctrl + A + A no longer works...

Side view, you can see the PCMCIA slot, the bottom with its feet, and the ventilation holes.

Again, the underside, you can notice that the plexiglass has some scratches, but that's the "factory" cut, not mine...

The back of the Amiga 1200...

Still the back... you can also see the potentiometer for the fan.

The underside, I placed a Speedking on top to give a sense of scale for the case...

Under the plexiglass plate, you can clearly see the fan, positioned beneath the accelerator card.

Only the fan is from AMD... the more observant will recognize the Motorola 68060 :)
Note: it's overclocked to 75 MHz...

For the video output to my VGA LCD monitor... I'll make a mini case for it eventually. You can also see the 'scanline generator,' which reduces the square pixel effect on my 19-inch monitor.

And here it is running with Apidya, it has found its permanent place on my desk, under the multifunction printer.

Here are the LEDs in action... I didn't reconnect the floppy, as everything is already on the front panel with the Gotek...
